“FEAR is an acronym in the English language for, False Evidence Appearing Real.” — Neal Donald Walsh
You might be thinking that the above quote is easy to say, hard to relinquish . . . and you might be right. Over time we have all learned what it means to fear . . . catastrophic events, circumstances, the unknown, and that which we have absolutely no control over whatsoever. This isen’t abnormal, it is quite responsive to growth. We are comfortable with what is familiar, except when we run smack into a life changing force that cripples our reason, and debilitates our consciousness. We now have the opportunity to alter our fear and doubt. To do something different is to acknowledge that we own the substantive ability to change and not anyone else. Rumi said this in another way, “Remember, the entrance door to the sanctuary is inside you.”
What is it you wish to change in your present set of circumstances, and what is stopping you? Once you realize the only obstruction to your growth is you . . . the vision shifts. No one said this was going to be easy, and the only obstacle holding you hostage is you. Being the victim of your own fear and doubt keeps you in a prison of your own creation. C.S. Lewis stated it this way, “We are what we believe we are.”
Each of us will have nothing to lose and everything to gain, by creating a new vision for ourselves. Shining a light of wisdom through consciousness on our fears/doubts is an enormous step in creating change with substance. Insightful awareness of how you respond to life reaches “critical mass,” when your deepest most sensitive fears are revealed in the light of creative change through positive choice. The shadows surrounding False Evidence Appearing Real/FEAR . . . are dissolved with the tools you already have, and yet have not implemented . . . as focused in the words of Neale Donald Walsh, “A life lived of choice is a life of conscious action. A life lived of chance is a life of unconscious creation.” JLR
