“No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.” – Albert Einstein
As you continue with the moment to moment elements of your life, what gives you focus? Has the exterior existence of being, interrupted a greater calling that you have yet to discover? There is no correct or appropriate response to these questions, as each of us relate, understand and integrate the meaning given our perspective and perception. The astute willingness for each of us to direct our energy in a more fulfulling way, enhances our experience as stated by Caroline Myss in her book Entering the Castle, ” . . . life is a journey of practicing consciousness, not perfecting it.”
Thinking out of the proverbial box, takes a great deal of courage, persistence, practice, determination, direction, focus and a conscious choice of will. This doesn’t happen automatically . . . it happens when we come to terms with our existing contradictions. When you stop the “madness,” and take an honest inventory of where you are and how you got there, everything else becomes incrementally, your direct purpose in living your truth. Buddha said it quite well, “Don’t keep searching for the truth, just let go of your opinions.”
The bottom line once again pushes us to make a fundamental choice. How important is it to know who you really are? No one can do the work or make the choice for you, this is your responsibility. With discernment, reflection, introspection and comprehension of where you are and where you want to go . . . you will experience clarity, guidance, and direction. The first step is to “let go,” and in the words of Eric Fromm, “Man is the only animal for whom his own existence is a problem which he has to solve.” Taking the first step always embraces trepidation and uncertainty. Perhaps a question that we might ask ourselves at this point is simply . . . are we part of the problem or part of the solution in getting out of our own way? JLR
