“For it is only the finite that has wrought and suffered; the infinite lies stretched in smiling repose.” —– Ralph Waldo Emerson

How many times during this past week have you experienced a dilemma of some kind, conscious or otherwise? You felt as if no matter which way you turned, there seemed to be no way to get through the maze . . . or so it seemed. It appeared day after day the same road blocks impeded any progress that you might have had, and this has left you depleted, exhausted, weary and totally without any hope of success on any level. Moments like these sometimes multiply from days to weeks and ultimately . . . years. Recognition of this repeating occurrence takes that split moment in time to stop what you’re doing, thinking or reacting to and evaluate your position, and change direction. Of course, you can think about this another way with these words . . . “Be ye transformed by the reviewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

Within each of us is the creative energy to rebuild, renew, refresh and remember who we are at our core . . . essence. This isn’t a mystery revealed only to a select few. In our experience to date, we have given ourselves excuses to diffuse what work needs to be done in order to transform what we believe is beyond our capabilities, and nothing could be farther from the truth. Very often we don’t know ourselves, with road blocks, difficulties and challenges drop-kicking us into another reality of action. Side-stepping what smacks us right between our eyes proves to be the wrong choice. It’s time to get to work as Steve Jobs states with this thought, “Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected.” Those that worked along side Steve Jobs have said . . . “He taught us that attention and intention determine results — that consciousness precedes experience.”

If you’re not alert, alive and aware consciously, getting productive results in your life may be almost impossible. Taking a different tact or direction is definitely worth a shot. Somewhere it was said, that repeating the same process or behavior over and over . . . getting the same results, defines insanity. Running around in circles whether consciously, unconsciously, emotionally, physically or spiritually usually equals the same results . . . uncertainty, confusion and fear. You must take the personal responsibility to change the directional consciousness of your life. No one will assume that for you. It’s time to embrace your life no matter where you are, and become actively involved in the profound substance of your truth. This can’t be off-loaded to someone else . . . your life is your responsibility. There always exists the conscious choice of will, and Twyla Tharp illuminates another thought . . . “Failure requires you to challenge a status quo of your own making.” JLR
