“You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.” – Friedrich Nietzsche

Whirling around each of us is a world permeated with technological gadgets which comprise computers, iPhones and 24/7 news cycles which anesthetize our physical senses. On some levels this reflects our pre-occupation with just scanning ideas/information, becoming a function of an individual who hears but does not listen, who looks but does not see, who scans ideas but does not think. Our world exists in blurred segments without direction, focus or purpose. What rhythm are you dancing to? What would happen if you stopped in the pristine moment of the here and now? As thoughtfully stated by Goethe . . . “Behavior is a mirror in which everyone displays his own image,” and our physical senses when fully present in the moment, give way to our inner seeing, hearing and knowing while actively participating in present conscious awareness.

Each journey represents the individual choices that create who we are in essence. How we infuse, imbue, enhance, embellish and enrich that journey is a choice we make through faith, experience, contemplation, understanding, compassion and wisdom. There exists no perfect path for any of us, only a myriad of circumstances that give us the continuing opportunites to grow . . . “while we become the path.”

The door to wisdom, consciousness, faith, experience etc., is as varied as the drops of water in the ocean. We are given the opportunity with every breath we take to know who we are. For some, it may never happen . . . and perhaps that is necessary. For others, it is revealed through a sense not expressed in words or thoughts . . . it just is. And yes . . . through the chaos of what we are all experiencing as “life,” we may ultimately give birth to that “dancing star,” recognizing that image and miracle . . . for the first time . . . JLR
