“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” – Benjamin Franklin
As you read these words so succinctly stated by Benjamin Franklin, what stirs in your reflective thinking? What individuals were pivotal in changing your life, your choices or your journey? At this point, has there existed those in your life . . . that now see you as their “role model?” Situations present themselves almost on a moment to moment basis, and our conscious awareness of those opportunities are often missed, due to our lack of involvement with our own purpose, essence and being.
What in the last analysis is most important? For each of us the response is quite different contingent upon our experience, growth, attitude, responsible accountability and awareness of who we are in any given instant. Gandi stated this quite beautifully with these words, “Almost everything you do will seem insignificant, but it is important that you do it.” Where are you in this journey? Do you ever feel that time is short, or have you completely miscalculated the perception of time regarding your life in the present moment?
Time passes whatever our choices, and upon reflection our response to those choices can be one of opportunity and unimaginable growth. We touch many lives, and with this experience the exchange often is beyond challenging. Without becoming conciously present in this journey, the words of Lewis Carroll resonate a certain truth . . . “If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there.”
Every person you meet is touched by your perspective, perception, energy, and totality of your essence in consciousness. In some instances, words need not be exchanged or expressed, but your presence resonates a totality beyond comprehension which is palpable on another level. In your experience, has there existed those individuals who have imparted an inexplicable moment that illuminates your essence? You know who they are, in fact . . . you may be one of them. JLR
