As a certificated educator, Miss La Rose has taught fourth grade through college. Teaching on the elementary level included the following contiguous disciplines: language arts, creative writing, literature, English, math, science, and art. On the secondary level, she taught general/choral music classes, conducted choral concerts, directed operettas, graduation speeches and commencement exercises.

Miss La Rose attended Chicago Musical College, now The Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL, where she was awarded numerous prestigious academic and vocal scholarships. She holds a Master of Music Degree in Voice, and Bachelor of Music Degrees in Voice and Music Education. Post graduate work in elementary and secondary education was completed at Concordia University, River Forest, IL.
