“Time will be as you interpret it, for of itself it is nothing.” from . . . A Course In Miracles

As children, time was likened to “the enemy.” It appeared as if everything we did took an interminable, incalculable amount of time. It was as if we were swimming through molasses . . . using an inordinate amount of patience and energy, we arrived at destinations or events with anticipation, enthusiasm or unbridled joy with a great deal of hope that all was “right with the world.” In this moment, with 20/20 hindsight . . . what has changed? Where did all that wonder, excitement, happiness, optimism, and blind faith go? For each of us, the answers will be unique and different depending on our orientation, environment and fundamental beliefs. Becoming an accountable, responsible adult is beyond challenging to many, as it is a daunting task that evolves, changes and progresses with each passing moment. As simply stated by Elizabeth Lesser, “Growing up frees you from illusions.” Those innate qualities that were present within all of us as children, are still inherent . . . when our intention is to allow life to be spontaneous with the same enthusiasm, joy, happiness, anticipation and wonderment. When we invest our energy with purpose and intention grounded in faith, consciously aware that how we interpreted time was the process in learning our individual soul’s truth. Through this process we call “life,” time plays such an integral part of how we define ourselves and as Dr. Wayne Dyer so aptly states, “Who would you be if you didn’t have anyone to tell you who you are?” Would all the accolades, awards, titles, or fame mean anything? When we all come to the twilight of our lives, or so it may appear, what will be the light of your intention using present conscious awareness? We do have “time” to begin right now, because no one can do this for us . . . we must do this for ourselves. As Dr. Wayne Dyer states so beautifully, “You’re not just the temporary shell that you call your ‘body’ – you’re a Divine essence who is limitless, formless and infinite.” The magic begins when we “see with the eyes behind our eyes.” our individual truth that is the light continuing through “time and beyond.” JLR
