After years of myriad experiences within our life’s journey, one of the most unique gifts we can distill is . . . peace of mind. No one can give this to us, we finally reach a plateau and realize this is one gift we definitely give to ourselves. If for no other reason, peace of mind does enhance clarity and for the many twists/turns we find along the way, reaching a place that gives us peace, is beyond measure. When we look around at where we are and how we got there, somethimes we wonder how all of this evolved. Is it more important to know how we arrived in the now, or can we see perhaps for the first time . . . reflect our awareness in presence consciousness? William Saroyan reflected thoughtful awareness with these words, “The greatest happiness you can have is knowing that you do not necessarily require happiness.” For each of us peace, tranquility and serenity is achieved through many different means as is happiness . . . all we need do is make the “gift of choice,” the rest follows.
