“If you fail to direct your subconscious mind, it produces under a law of averages, and you are a nice ineffective, sweet person.” — Raymond Charles Barker
We’ve all met over a number of years individuals who may be less than splendid regarding character traits, integrity or lack thereof, incapacity to know that they don’t know, and conditional friendship sustained by a false narrative without substance. As we navigate this life’s journey, we meet so many individuals from many walks of life that seem to project an obvious disconnectedness. Unfortunately today, this is more the norm and not the exception . . . due to what and exactly what is lacking? It has become obvious to those who embrace some semblance of consciousness, that the existent ineffectiveness witnessed on a daily basis among the general population is simply a lack of concern, urgency, awareness, role models, direction, guidance and the predisposition to make any fundamental changes that would rock the boat of their continuing mediocrity. It becomes more disturbing when the words of Emma Curtis Hopkins ring true . . . “The world will persist in exhibiting before you what you persist in affirming the world is.”
Have you or someone close to you had any wake-up calls lately dealing with home, livelihood, health, family, friends or loved ones? Have you met anyone in your life that made such a difference . . . that you made a conscious decision to take a different path, and do something you never dreamed of doing by choosing to jump and take a frightening risk? Many individuals are petrified to even entertain those types of challenging thoughts, let alone do something about it. Ask yourself another question . . . have you or someone you know lost the ability to function? This is a sad commentary on your existence and using the words of Edith Wharton, “There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.”
When you take personal responsibility for your life and everything in it, consciousness is reflective and illuminates your space and the space around you. Making mistakes is part/parcel of growth and the opportunity to learn never ends . . . never . . . until you take your last breath on this earth. The content of character can’t be short-changed, it just doesn’t work not now, or in the future. Realty usually slaps you in the face, shakes you to the footings of your soul and gives you another set of circumstances in many cases more horrific than the last. When conscious and present in your own life with consistence awareness, life becomes an unfolding experience which continually evolves and embraces these words by Rasha . . . “The nature of your world is no more and no less than a reflection of the composite vision of the consciousness present.” What do you see?
