Within our awareness as small children our world was full of wonder, curiosity, trust, love and hope. We exhibited acceptance, enthusiasm and joy within the world we knew. As life unfolded and we grew in our respective “roles through education and experience,” we took on the mantle of what we did, and not really who we are. Along the way, confusion, misapprehension, anxiety, fear and mistrust became very familar. From a small child, Bobby – Age 7 is this quote . . . “Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.” Children can bring us back to an awareness that once again gives us hope, all we need do is “listen and reflect.” JLR
